Who We Are
The CCA gathers canoeists and kayakers from the greater Washington DC area. Founded in 1956 We are a kayak and canoe club who's main purpose is to unite persons interested in paddling the Potomac River Basin and adjacent watersheds. We run trips, teach classes, promote river safety, and participate in river access and watershed conservation efforts.
What Volunteers Do
The CCA promotes river safety teach classes, run trips, and put effort into rivers conservation.
SSL hours will be given for CCA functions such as:
Cleaning rivers and river access.
Helping with the Down River Race.
Helping with classes.
