Who We Are
Route 28 Christmas brings together different faiths in a celebration of Christmas. While it is Christmas that brings the faiths together, "A Route 28 Christmas" is an inclusive celebration that welcomes the participation of all religions that teach faith, hope, charity, and service to community as the way to equality and happiness. Other faiths that chose to join in the celebration but that are not Christian may also have their celebrations included in our list of events and receive the same level of promotion to the community.
What Volunteers Do
Volunteers will assist in the event setup, which may include outdoor lighting and clean-up, indoor set up of tables and decorations; unboxing and sorting nativities; organizing displays. Volunteers will assist in collecting and delivering to Manna or other food banks, canned and dried food donations in a food drive held in conjunction with the event. Volunteers may serve as event monitors to usher guests through the exhibit and prevent touching of the displays. Finally, volunteers will assist in the breakdown of the tables, chairs, packing displays, and returning the rooms to their original setup.
