Who We Are
The Town of Poolesville, population 5,800, is a municipal corporation that prides itself on being a caring community with small town values and character that endeavors to ensure that present and future residents are able to enjoy this lifestyle. The Town of Poolesville is a commission form of government consisting of five elected Commissioners, responsible for the overall operation of the town. The day-to-day management of the town is overseen by an appointed Town Manager and Town staff. The Town of Poolesville has what is described as one of the best park systems in the state of Maryland. There are 13 town owned and maintained parks, and a Montgomery County swim facility within the town limits. The Town of Poolesville holds many annual events including SpringFest, Stevens Park Summer Recreation Program, the Friday on the Commons Summer Series, & the Holiday Lighting Ceremony.
