Who We Are
The PES Education Foundation is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in September 2022 and committed to enriching our children’s educational experiences. Our mission is to raise and allocate funds to be used to enhance the academic and extra-curricular experience of the students of Potomac Elementary School by providing funding for capital improvements, safety enhancements, and spending initiatives that have a multi-year impact. The PES Education Foundation meets a critical need in our school by providing funding for initiatives that are not available through the Montgomery County Public Schools.
What Volunteers Do
Most volunteers are parents who coordinate activities to raise funds and establish initiatives to fund for the benefit of the students and teachers. However, some of our events and activities for the school may require volunteers to help with the execution of the event, including photography, registration/check-in desk, monitors and directional assistance, set-up/breakdown, food display support, tech support and other similar roles.
