Children's International Summer Villages (DC)

CISV believes that the more we understand and cooperate with people of other cultures, the more just and peaceful our communities and our world become. We believe that peace is possible through friendship, and that a real difference can be made by starting with children. Children from the DC area ages 11-16 travel in delegations of four children with an adult leader to summer camps around the world for 2-4 weeks, where they learn, laugh, and play with delegations from across the globe.

Volunteers help run camps and support international exchanges, participate in peacebuilding activities, and support the growth of the chapter.
