Congregation Or Chadash

Congregation Or Chadash has been a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive Reform Jewish community in Damascus, Maryland, for more than 20 years. We welcome all families and honor every individual in our community for who they are. We promote Jewish spirituality and lifelong learning. Social action, education, and community building are at the core of our mission.

Volunteers at Congregation Or Chadash are active in ongoing social action programs, such as running food drives, knitting blankets for children, and helping refugee families, as well as special events throughout the year, such as Good Deeds Day, packing meals with Rise Against Hunger, and honoring our local First Responders with an annual dinner. Students can earn SSL hours for participating in these activities.
