Who We Are

Central Maryland Bengal Association (CMBA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to building community, celebrating cultural heritage, and serving society in Montgomery County and the surrounding region. We bring together families from diverse backgrounds through cultural events, festivals, and community initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on giving back. Our programs include food drives, charitable donations, and volunteer-led service activities that support local organizations and families in need. Our mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive space that strengthens community bonds while making a meaningful social impact.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers with our organization support a wide range of community-driven initiatives focused on cultural engagement and social impact. Activities include: Organizing and supporting community events and cultural festivals Coordinating donation drives (food, clothing, school supplies, and toys) in partnership with local nonprofits Assisting with event logistics, setup, registration, and hospitality Leading youth engagement activities, including performances, workshops, and volunteer opportunities Supporting outreach efforts to connect with local families and promote community participation Helping identify and respond to community needs through service initiatives Volunteers play a key role in fostering community connection, supporting underserved populations, and creating inclusive, family-friendly experiences.
