Calleva's mission is to get people outdoors and to responsibly educate them in the outdoors, by providing a fun and challenging environment that promotes personal growth, group cooperation and leadership skill through outdoor activities. We assist children and adults in realizing increased personal power, team and leadership skills, and appreciation for nature through adventure activities. We prepare each participant to reach goals that will enhance personal esteem and confidence.

Since 1993, Calleva has provided a wide range of outdoor adventure experiences for individuals & families in the DMV, including award-winning summer camps, a kayaking school, weekend adventure trips, and agriculture education. With hubs in Maryland & Virginia, Calleva gets kids of all ages out into national, state & county parks to experience the rivers, trails & forests in our area. Volunteers support all programming areas, by contributing to group management, helping with facilities maintenance and general operations, serving in the commercial kitchen at Calleva Farm, as well as joining our events teams. Calleva has something for everyone: day camp programs for ages 4-12, week-long back country adventures for teens, kayaking lessons, whitewater raft excursions, and farm-to-table experiences. www.calleva.org
