Who We Are
Educating children and youth, and strengthening families, in a bilingual, multicultural community.
Our commitment is to provide affordable and accessible high quality child care education to low-income, working families. Through our multiple child care sites, we are responding to one of the most important and challenging essential services facing the residents of the District of Columbia and the greater metropolitan region. CentroNía is a community-based organization, nationally recognized for its award-winning programs in the field of early childhood education, professional development to educators, and family support services in a bilingual and multicultural environment to more than 2,500 low-income children and families. Our holistic approach and wraparound services ensure that the children and families we serve receive the support they need to succeed academically, develop a strong sense of community, and live healthy and active lives. For more than 35 years, our programs have grown and expanded to meet the evolving needs of our children, families, and the residents of the communities we serve.
