Let's Play America Ltd

Let's Play America's mission is to encourage people of all ages to play by helping them create playful events in their own communities. Let’s Play America increases opportunities for all people to enjoy play through partnering with communities, organizations, and individuals to create locally-inspired, playful events.

In March 2009, Let's Play America started holding fun free play events in our community. The City of Takoma Park's Recreation Department was supportive of our efforts. As time went by we held play days, closed streets to play, joined already organized events by adding play. We would like to offer community service for all our events and hold events throughout Montgomery County. We became a nonprofit in 2014. See our website for more information: letsplayamerica.org 

Let's Play America depends on volunteers to carry out a wide variety of tasks, such as:

• Volunteering at Play Days
• Grant writing / fundraising 
• Helping with computer work such as social media

MCPS students receive Student Service Learning (SSL) hours for volunteering with us! We also have opportunities for dedicated youth volunteers to become Youth Ambassadors and take on leadership roles within LPA.
