To provide SSL opportunities to youth for service to the greater Olney community through helping Adult volunteers guide and do activities with children each morning during the week of VBS.

 Student volunteers will be responsible to sign and return a “Volunteer Form’, a “Safe Conduct Form‘ and a “Photo Release Form’ prior to volunteering. A Training meeting ( held prior to July 27) is required to allow students to meet who they’ll work with, learn how to guide children to the scheduled Activity Sites, Safety training, get any questions answered and hear our Organization's expectations. Student Volunteers will work either with a Team Leader to guide children to the Activity Sites, or assist the Activity Site leaders ( Snack, Music, Craft, Games, Story Time).  Additional SSL hours can be earned for Students who are able to (1) stay after Training to help put up Tropical Trek decorations, (2) attend on Thursday evening (Family Night) 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. to help their Team Leaders with the children, (3) stay after the last day - Friday morning- to help remove decorations ( Pizza and drinks provided) .
