We make and deliver healthy, delicious meals to neighbors who are homebound and have difficulty shopping for and preparing their own food. Volunteers help in our kitchen and by driving and delivering meals. Our aim is to nourish our neighbors and ensure that they can live safely in their own homes as long as possible.
We serve our clients -- homebound neighbors, most of whom are seniors -- fresh meals prepared in our small commercial kitchen each weekday. Volunteers deliver those meals with a friendly greeting, helping our clients stay socially connected and safe.
Delivery volunteers arrive at our kitchen at noon or a bit earlier to pick up that day's meals. Often working in teams of two, they deliver meals to each client's door, following routes designed to take 90 minutes or less.
Kitchen volunteers work with our chef and deli managers to prepare and package meals and clean up. Volunteers can choose to join our morning crew from 9:00am to noon or our afternoon crew from 12:15 to 2:15pm.
Free parking is available next to our building, and our office is located on several bus routes. Students can earn service learning hours while volunteering with us.
