Most Valuable Kids

Most Valuable Kids' mission is to help combat juvenile delinquency, promote an appreciation of athletics and culture and, most importantly, foster academic and social achievement by creating a merit system whereby participating recipient agencies can reward children for social and academic progress and accomplishment. This reward system of being able to attend professional and collegiate sporting events and cultural performances promotes self-esteem and illustrates to children the merits of philanthropy, personal discipline, determination, and perseverance. Most Valuable Kids overcomes the financial obstacles associated with live events by distributing unused tickets to children that would enjoy the opportunity to go to an event, but would otherwise not be able to because of the high costs associated with tickets. These tickets are distributed to boys and girls, 18 and under, through the numerous organizations that focus on children in low-income and underserved households.

You can help donate dreams to underserved kids and families throughout the DMV by serving on our Junior Leadership Council! Student volunteers help us fundraise and organize our annual auction that raises more than $40,000 every year. They also plan, set up, and staff our annual Sports Combine that brings dozens of MVK kids together for a fun day of competing in various athletic challenges. The Council also helps with set up and fundraising for other events throughout the year. You can help provide amazing opportunities for thousands of kids who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity.
