Student Athletes for Educational Opportunities (SAFEO), Inc. is a Washington D.C./ Baltimore metropolitan area based non-profit organization that provides educational, career and health services for student athletes, parents, coaches and other stakeholders concerned about the educational and athletic plight of student athletes at all levels. sports groups, other community stakeholders. SAFEO works to prepare student athletes for the rigors of college level work and the challenges of the college experience. It works to enhance their athletic skills; introduce them to the many available career opportunities in sports; and inform and train them in healthy living. SAFEO also works to build character and a consciousness for community responsibility.

Serving as a volunteer with SAFEO you'll get the opportunity to impact lives, help those in your community in need and establish friendships that will last a lifetime. We provide an array of volunteer opportunities ranging from coaching youth sports, promoting healthy living, replenishing and beautifying corroding neighborhoods, chaperoning youth to their first ever sports event, helping those suffering from mental health challenges raising funds for one of our many outreach campaigns and much, much more. We here at SAFEO believe that it's volunteers like you that has kept our work going for the last 30 plus years.
