Who We Are

Takoma Park Folk Festival, Inc. (The Festival) was formed in 1982, for the purpose of producing a festival in September every year in Takoma Park, Maryland. Local vendors and artisans participate in support of the Festival. The Festival works with groups of volunteers from local non-profits, with the intent that those groups be compensated for their time to produce the festival, if funds are available. Community groups are invited to set up tables where they can promote their services. In addition, the festival has at times introduced other elements, such as commemorative recordings and special events.

What Volunteers Do

On September 7, 2025, the Takoma Park Folk Festival (TPFF) will be an all outdoor, in-person festival with multiple music stages and craft vendors -- 8:00am to 8:00pm.

We especially need people, LIKE YOU, to help keep TPFF going throughout the day. There are many different types of volunteer jobs.

Bring your spirit and energy to TPFF to help make this a GREAT festival!
