The Clarksburg Historical Society, Inc

Our mission is to "keep Clarksburg's rich history alive".

Our organization seeks to promote and protect Clarksburg's history and historical sites. We do outreach to educate the many new residents of Clarksburg about the history of their town. We have artifacts and educational display boards to help bring the town's history alive. We have made presentations to our local schools and we are active in matters pertaining to local history. Each year, we participate in Montgomery County Heritage Day. On the last Saturday in June, we open a historic building for tours and we have interactive educational activites and displays. We partner with the Montgomery County Parks Dept and our local 4-H club as well as other community groups in making it a family fun, educational event.
