The Holiday Project

The Holiday Project of the National Capital Area organizes visits to people in nursing homes and hospitals in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware. We bring the spirit of a holiday to those who might otherwise not have a celebration.

Holidays can be very special times of the year. But for those residing in institutions, they oftentimes become lonely days with few visitors, cards and gifts, and all too many memories of happier times. The Holiday Project visitors bring a few joyful moments to people in nursing homes and hospitals. We give a very special gift and we get an even more special one in return, just by spending time with the people we visit.
