DC Actors for Animals

The mission of DC Actors for Animals, Inc. (DCa4a) is to help animals in the Washington DC metropolitan area through adoption, advocacy, and education.

Members of DC Actors for Animals are theater professionals working on and off stage at the area's biggest theaters. DCa4a coordinates adoption events, charity events, and fundraisers with local rescue organizations and animal shelters, provides world class entertainment, and promotes humane education for owners and animals-in-need in DC, MD, and VA. The cornerstone event is an annual star-studded adopt-a-thon, Beltway Barks, featuring musical performances, local vendors, animal advocacy groups, and presentations of adoptable animals from rescue groups and shelters throughout the area. Student volunteers are welcome to join in by helping us set up and tear down at the venue site, selling raffle tickets, and assisting with our photographer and videographer.
