Who We Are

TransCen’s mission is to improve the lives of people with disabilities through meaningful work and community inclusion. TransCen’s vision is to redefine transition from school to work and disability employment through strong business and community partnerships, tailored training, and field-based research.

The associates at TransCen develop, implement, and research innovations regarding school-to-adult life transition and career development for people with disabilities. Our work is driven by the belief that there is a job for everyone who wants one, regardless of the nature of their disability, or other barriers to employment, their need for workplace support and accommodation, or economic circumstance.

What Volunteers Do

We assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining employment in the community; provide training and technical assistance to businesses schools, local and state organizations on disability employment and community integration; and research state-of-the-are practices on transition and disability employment issues.

We offer volunteer hours to students during our events. Duties include pre event set up, tasks during the event and post event clean up as well as data entry.
