Who We Are

The Center for Cultural Exchange (CCE) was established on June 24, 2014 in the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, as a nonprofit organization. On August 19, 2014, CCE received its 501(c) 3 tax exempt status from the IRS. CCE's goal is to continue to promote intergenerational activities and cultural understanding between the US and China through the art forms of Wushu, Qigong, and Taichi at public performances organized by the community. CCE would like to also build capacity to organize and implement annual programs that are beneficial for Wushu, Taichi, and Qigong practitioners.

What Volunteers Do

The mission and purpose of the Center for Cultural Exchange is to provide charitable, cultural, and educational opportunities For the promotion of a better understanding of different cultures throuth art, music, sports, heritage, and intellectual pursuits. The Center for Cultural Exchange is engaging and/or supporting in the following activities: - Community service activities - Coordination of FREE community demonstrations of wushu, taichi, and/or qigong at community events - Special wushu cultural advancement team trainings - Language and cultural understanding classes - Monthly taichi or qigong seminars and breathing exercises to help participants relieve and/or prevent stress - Coaching and mentoring of young wushu athletes through teaching assistant opportunities for after-school wushu classes - Volunteer after-school homework help for USWA students either before or after scheduled training hours at their training facility - Resourceful support for USWA athletes interested in national or international competitions - Co-organize special summer training and trips to China
