Upcounty Prevention Network

Our Vision: The Upcounty Prevention Network (UPN) mobilizes the power of community to promote healthy youth lifestyles. Our Mission: The Upcounty Prevention Network enriches the lifestyles of area youth through positive action, education, and support of healthy choices. UPN formed in 2016 to address the lack of mental health services for youth in the upcounty area. We became a non-profit in 2018.

UPN supports the SADD chapter at Poolesville High School by providing learning experiences on youth wellness topics such as stress-reduction, resilience, suicide prevention, etc. We provide educational programming for families about substance abuse, laws that govern controlled substances, healthy behaviors, trends in mental health statistics, etc.
