Volunteer: FIRST Robotics-community robotics demonstration.Host community STEM outreach events, including robotics demonstrations and expand access to engineering education and spark interest in technology. These events also introduce participants to modern concepts such as artificial general intelligence (AGI) and large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT and Gemini, helping students and families understand how these tools shape today’s world. In addition, we recruit experienced robotics students to teach mechanical design, hardware-focused programming, engineering documentation, and other skills essential for robotics competitions. This ongoing, practical program strengthens students’ abilities in engineering, coding, teamwork, and technical communication. Volunteers may bring their own curriculum or receive training to teach the club’s materials, ensuring consistent and high-quality learning opportunities for all participants. Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
