Volunteer: National PTA sponsored STEM Event

Goshen Elementary School PTA has been selected by National PTA to host STEM + Families initiative: Propelling Our World.  The event is for grades K-5 to expose students to real world STEM careers within their own community.

This event is being held in partnership with Maryland Transportation Authority, E-Z Pass, Key Bridge Rebuild Project and The Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study.

Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks before, during and after the event.

What Volunteers will do

Help set up activity stationsWelcome families at entranceGuide elementary students through STEM activitiesKeep activity stations organizedHelp clean up after the event

No STEM experience required.

Spanish speaking not necessary but appreciated.

Middle and High School students may earn SSL hours!



Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
