Volunteer: Black History Month Lunch & February Birthday CelebrationsSupport the Resident Services with our monthly Birthday Celebration Program which this month will also include a Black History Month Lunch for at one of our properties near the Fort Totten neighborhood in Washington, DC. Please note signing up on here is only to express your interest, one of our staff members will reach out with confirmation and next steps. Working with children and other volunteers is required for this opportunity. This is a program led by staff; volunteers can expect: -Event Assistance (Volunteer will be helping to: 1) Set-up for the event 2) Help serve the food, beverages & dessert for the event 3) Pass out prizes for the event if needed 4) Collect Trash during and at the end of the event.) Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization.
