Volunteer: Gaithersburg Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB)The Gaithersburg Library is looking for volunteers for our 2025-2026 Teen Advisory Board (TAB)! TAB plays an essential role in shaping library programs and spaces. Through discussion helping to make sure that the library is providing what our community needs. The Gaithersburg Library TAB meets monthly throughout the school year on the last Thursday of each month from 5 PM to 6 PM, unless otherwise noted. As a member of the Teen Advisory Board you will: Shape teen programming Gain leadership experience Earn SSL hours Learn marketable skills that can be shared with future colleges and employers TAB members are expected to: Be at least 13 years old Attend at least one meeting every two months Participate in discussions and provided tasks Attend at least one library program every month To apply to be a member of the Gaithersburg Library TAB please fill out this form. Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
