Roles & Responsibilities

  Develop fundraising strategy  Identify prospective donors, sponsors, foundations and grant opportunities  Participate in fundraising events and campaigns  Represent ESYDA at community events  Help evaluate program impacts and community feedback  Assist with planning and execution of outreach initiatives   Identify unmet community needs

Applicants should

  Be at least 18  Enjoy working with kids  Have a passion for community service and a drive for impactful initiatives   Time commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week (flexible day and time, but based on the organization need)

Volunteer Responsibilities: 

Lead soccer practices using the EYSDA Recreational Curriculum.  Teach age-appropriate soccer skills and fundamentals.  Help set up and take down fields, goals, and equipment.  Support game-day operations during Saturday recreational games.  Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior.  Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.  Serve as a positive mentor and role model for youth.  Assist with ESYDA community events, clinics, and outreach activities, and outreach throughout the season

Applicants should be: 

At least 18 years of ageEnjoy working with childrenBe able to work collaboratively with coaches, families and other volunteersDemonstrate professionalism, reliability and a positive attitudePass all required background screening and children safety requirements before working with participantsAttend volunteer orientation and required training


As an ESYDA volunteer coach, you will receive

Community service hours  Internship or service-learning experience (as approved by your academic program)  Hands-on leadership experience working with youth  Mentorship from experienced soccer coaches  Resume-building experience  Professional letters of recommendation (based on successful completion of volunteer service)  Networking opportunities within youth sports and other non-profit organizations  Opportunities for coach education and professional development  Consideration for future paid coaching positions with ESYDA
