On February 22nd There Goes My Hero will be hosting our inaugural Flannel and Frost event at the Bel Air Armory. It's going to be an exciting night with a bull and oyster roast, plenty of other food, spirits, games, and keynote speeches from blood cancer survivors and bone marrow donors. As with all of our events we will be hosting a swab table to sign up potential lifesavers on the bone marrow registry.
Since this is a large-scale event we're going to require some large-scale assistance. The event is scheduled from 6:00pm-11:00pm but Hero staff will be there around 3:30pm. Volunteers can arrive any time after this and help for as long as they want. If they can't stay the entire time that's perfectly okay. All are welcome, but volunteers under 18 must come with a parent. We need help with setting up the venue, running a bone marrow drive, and taking everything down following the event. The only training necessary is some basic preparation for a bone marrow drive, and this can be done half an hour before guests arrive. Feel free to bring a friend to volunteer with you!
