At There Goes My Hero, we believe in the power of words to uplift and inspire. That’s why we create cards of encouragement to support patients and families battling blood cancer. Whether you pen a motivational quote or a funny pun, your words can offer hope and comfort.
These cards are distributed during our Meals with Heroes volunteer opportunity or included in care bags for patients and families at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hackerman-Patz Patient and Family Pavilion.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
