Innovation Towards the Future leads the way in promoting a sustainable future by advocating for the reduction and elimination of single-use plastics through education, innovation, and collaboration. This Campaign aims to inspire individuals and organizations to make conscious choices that contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet.
Goals:
- Raise awareness about the negative impact of single-use plastics on the environment.
- Encourage people to find innovative solutions that replace single-use plastics.
- Advocate for legislation that promotes the reduction of single-use plastics and the implementation of recycling programs.
- Inspire long-term behavior change towards more eco-friendly practices.
Students can earn SSL hours on creating social media posts for No Single-Use Plastic Campaign. The posts are for the organization to share and circulate.
- 2 SSL hours will be awarded for the creation of 1 social media post.
- 4 SSL hours will be awarded for the creation of 2 social media posts.
- Maximum two posts for each student.
- The creations will be submitted to info@innovation-future.org

Please consider following elements when creating your poster:
- Use Eye-Catching icons or images.
- Keep it simple. Make sure your poster is easy to read and understand. Avoid too much text or graphics.
- Include information: provide key information about the impact of single-use plastics and why it’s important to reduce their use.
- Call to Action: such as using a reusable water bottle, bringing your own bags to the stores, supporting policies that reduce plastic waste.
- Encourage innovation: such as creating reusable bags from old T-shirts.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety and privacy at any time the student is interacting with the nonprofit and its clients. The nonprofit organization will determine the number of SSL hours awarded based on the evidence submitted. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns. This service activity is designed to be completed within the safety of the student’s home.
