Effective Communication Strategies for Substance Use and Mental Health

Please join us for Montgomery County’s 2025 Spring Forum to learn about maintaining strong mental health & preventing substance use. Attendees will learn about achieving and maintaining strong mental health, the dangers of fentanyl, alcohol, nicotine, marijuana, and other substances, information to keep loved ones safe, school & community-based mental health & substance use crisis prevention, harm reduction, and treatment initiatives, and what insurance is required to cover. We welcome all community members to choose from several educational sessions for both adults and youth, presented in English and Spanish.
Earn SSL hours for attending. Help needed for set up, wayfinding/navigators, and clean up.
Student journalists & photographers strongly desired.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
