We are grateful as an organization to be able to offer an MLK day of service to volunteers, to bring people together, and to better serve those in our community who need services.
We will be assembling and packing food/produce bags and boxes to distribute at our three weekly community distributions.
ALL VOLUNTEERS must: 1. be 15 years or older and able to work independently, 2. have the ability to lift 25 lbs, 3. volunteers must come dressed to work in long shorts, pants, a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt and closed toed shoes. Volunteers not wearing close toed shoes will be sent home.
Volunteer duties include but are not limited to: packing food, organization of distribution materials and clean up.
Please note some of these duties do require bending, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs and volunteers must be able to comfortably meet these

The Upcounty HUB is located in the Upcounty Regional Services Building located at:
12900 Middlebrook Rd, Germantown, MD 20874
Please enter through front entrance of the building- The Hub is located to the right of the front desk in Suite 1100. All volunteers are required to sign in with Gaby, prior to starting their shift.
**If you must cancel your volunteer shift, we ask that you notify us. We are a volunteer driven organization and rely heavily on our volunteers to help feed families weekly.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
