Xi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® invites you to come and volunteer with us in honoring Dr. King's legacy for the following exciting and community-based projects.
- Cleaning is Caring Bag Assembly
- Volunteers will assemble the bags oof cleaning products which will be donated to an local emergency shelter.
- Advocacy Station
- Volunteers will choose County Government members to write letters in support of homelessness in the community to continue awareness and support.
- Poster/Note Station
- Volunteers will write notes of encouragement to men in a local emergency shelter and guidance will be provided to ensure the messaging is appropriate.
- Treat Bags
- Volunteers will assemble snacks and other treat in goodie bags to be distributed to the local emergency shelter for men.
In additional to registering for this activity, please be sure to complete the liability waiver and media release form at the link below to participate in this activity. Those under the age of 12 can participate if accompanied by a parent.

SSL hours are available. Students will receive 2 SSL hours for their time served. Light refreshments will be served.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
