Assist with Olney's 42nd Community Day on March 24, 2024 at Good Counsel High School. The event runs from 1-5p.m., but we'd be looking for assistance from 11a.m. to 6p.m. The event is Montgomery County's largest Business and Family Expo, featuring The Taste of Olney, Raffles, Performances, Giveaways, and Kids Activities. Volunteers must be aged 15 and older.
Duties would include:
- Assistance with event and vendor loading/unloading set-up and take-down.
- Assistance with recycling cardboard boxes and packaging materials throughout the event.
- Assistance with ensuring cleanliness and alerting Good Counsel staff to any maintenance issues, spills, etc.
- Utilizing "clickers" at entrances to count attendees to the event.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
