Join us on Saturday, May 16, 2026, 10:00am at the Gaithersburg Public Library (18330 Montgomery Village Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20879) to celebrate and preserve the historic community of Prathertown! We’re seeking a friendly, organized Registration Coordinator to help welcome participants and manage event sign-ins at our upcoming preservation gathering.
What you’ll do:
Checking in registered guests.
Registering guests who did not pre register.
Distributing name badges, event materials, and bracelets.
Monitoring room capacity and observing safety risks.
Calculate number of attendees at the end of the event.
Encourage participants to complete the event survey.
Thank participants for coming and sharing upcoming events at the end.
General Event Support.
Ideal for: Volunteers who enjoy meeting new people, keeping things organized, and supporting community heritage events. If you’re passionate about local history and want to take part in preserving Prathertown’s legacy, this is a great way to get involved!
Please Note: Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own food and water. Breaks will be included, and SSL forms will be provided. Feel free to bring canned goods to donate to our food drive. Participants should include their best contact number to be informed of any changes to this service project. There will be no refrigeration available for food items.

Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
