About Us – Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP):
At Sleep in Heavenly Peace – Montgomery Village, we believe that every child deserves a safe, comfortable place to sleep. But too many children in our local communities are going without. We are a volunteer-led nonprofit that builds and delivers brand-new twin beds to children in need — and we can’t do it without community support.
The Opportunity – Donations Coordinator:
We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and mission-driven volunteer to help build awareness and generate support for our cause. As our Donations Coordinator, you’ll be the voice that reaches out into the community — connecting with businesses, schools, faith groups, and individuals to inspire financial donations, supply drives, and sponsorship opportunities that make our work possible.
What You'll Do (2 hrs/week, remote):
- Reach out to potential supporters via email, phone calls, or social media
- Connect with businesses, schools, faith-based groups, and local organizations to encourage financial support or bedding drives
- Research new leads and community partners interested in helping kids in need
- Build and maintain relationships with supporters and sponsors
- Help spread awareness of our mission and current needs
- This position is fully remote and can be done on your schedule (approx. 2 hours per week)

- Are personable, outgoing, and enjoy talking to people
- Are comfortable making cold-calls and initiating conversations
- Can write clear and friendly outreach emails
- Are self-motivated and know how to research groups and contacts online
- Are passionate about helping children and promoting a meaningful mission
