Our Civic Association is seeking dedicated community members to serve as Volunteer Board Members in the Glenmont Forest Community. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of our neighborhood, strengthen community connections, and support initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents. Board Members play an important leadership role in guiding the vision, priorities, and activities of the association.
About the Board Member Role:
Board Members help provide direction, oversight, and support for the association’s work.
Responsibilities may include:
- Attending and actively participating in board meetings
- Contributing to strategic planning and goal setting
- Supporting neighborhood events and community initiatives
- Representing the interests and voices of residents
- Collaborating with fellow board members in a respectful and constructive manner
- Assisting with communication efforts (newsletters, social media, outreach)
- Helping to recruit and engage volunteers
- Reviewing and supporting budget planning and responsible financial oversight
- Identifying community concerns and helping develop solutions
- Building partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and stakeholders
- Upholding transparency, fairness, and ethical decision-making
