The Health Freedom Celebration Walk is an AAHP signature event that promotes awareness and prevention of chronic disease through the power of walking. Participants gather in Circles of Friends and walk together in the weeks prior to the event. The Health Freedom Celebration Walk brings together all circles and celebrates a walk towards better health. The event is open to the public; participation in a Circle of Friends is not required. If you are interested in participating in a Circle of Friends or learning more about the event, please contact Rachael Ruffin at rachael.ruffin@montgomerycountymd.gov.
AAHP is requesting volunteers to assist with set up and clean up of the walk site, as well as registration. We are seeking student volunteers between the ages of 14 to 17. The volunteer coordinator will assign you to an area during the walk.
SSL hours will be provided.
Please be mindful that this a forested event. Closed-toe shoes and long pants as well as long-sleeved shirts are highly recommended.
