BlackRock is seeking volunteers who are interested in welcoming visitors to our art galleries! Gallery Volunteers greet the public while seated at a desk where they can read, study, work on a laptop, etc. During special events, Gallery Volunteers may be stationed at various locations to greet larger groups attending gallery receptions, tours, artist talks, hands-on art making activities, and other programs. Gallery Hosts are mainly responsible for helping protect the art work, welcoming patrons, assisting with sales, and answering questions about BlackRock.
Prospective volunteers should be interested in visual art and enjoy interacting with the public!
The two galleries are open Monday-Saturday, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
We have three regular shifts available: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, 12:00 PM-2:00 PM, & 2:00 PM-5:00 PM. Casual business attire required.
First time volunteers must complete a Volunteer application.
Student Service Learning credit is available.
