All Aboard! Brookside Gardens is seeking volunteers for the Garden Railway exhibit in the Conservatory. We're looking for individuals who enjoy engaging with a diverse group of visitors to enhance their experience.
Volunteers are responsible for welcoming and assisting visitors, providing information and answering inquiries. They engage children with an interactive visual scavenger hunt, communicate exhibit guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, and occasionally support staff with maintenance of the exhibit area.
The exhibit is scheduled from November 29 to January 4 and operates every day, except for closures on December 24-25. Shifts are from 10am to 1pm and 1 to 4pm. A minimum commitment of two shifts during the event is required of all volunteers.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
