Celebrate Juneteenth and help keep Rockville litter-free by joining the cleanup at Haiti Cemetery, which was founded by freed slaves and their descendants. We will focus on cleaning up litter and weeding. Volunteers should meet at the parking lot of the Rockville Swim Center at 355 Martins Lane. We will then walk to the cemetery at 205 Martins Lane.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Gloves, trash bags and trash grabbers will be provided. Wear sturdy closed toed shoes, dress for the weather and bring plenty of water. Sunblock and bug spray are recommended. Volunteers agree to supply and wear a face covering and practice physical distancing of at least 6 feet from others.
Please only respond to this opportunity if you plan to attend the event. Space is limited and online registration and waiver submission is required. Closer to the event, you will receive a link in your email to electronically sign the waiver.
