Create a Thank You Note for a Senior: Create a beautiful card and write and encouraging message for Seniors in Rockville. Many seniors live alone and sometimes a little note of gratitude and encouragement when less expected can light their day and make a difference on their mental health. You will receive 5 blank cards to make a beautiful design and write an encouraging message. You will receive direction and sample of encouragement messages. 5 completed cards will be equivalent to 2 SSL hours.
Students should not include any personally identifying information (full name, home address, email address, etc.) in their cards.
The pick-up date for the blank cards will be January 13 at Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave. Rockville MD 20850 Between 1 to 5 PM
Return Completed cards on January 27 at Rockville City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave. Rockville MD 20850 at between 1 and 5 PM.
Note If you are requesting SSL hours, please include your name and email address with the cards, do not seal the envelopes.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety and privacy at any time the student is interacting with the nonprofit and its clients. The nonprofit organization will determine the number of SSL hours awarded based on the evidence submitted. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns. This service activity is designed to be completed within the safety of the student’s home until the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
