Takoma Park 4th of July Parade (Takoma Park Independence Day Committee)
Date and Time: 7/4/25 8am to 12:30pm (4.5 hours SSL)
Location: Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912
seeking 8 student volunteers, ages 14-18 (volunteers must be rising high school freshmen or above)

Join us the morning of July 4th for Takoma Park 4th of July parade. Our parade foster patriotic and community pride and celebrates the diversity of our community.
Volunteers will pass out flyers and programs along the parade route, set up the hospitality area and information booths, help make sure streets that are closed stay blocked off, collect signage at the parade’s end, offer t-shirts for sale at the information booth, help break down the staging area, and assist with other aspects of the parade as needed.

Join us the evening of July 4th for our patriotic eveningprogram. This is one of the most beloved Takoma Park events, fostering patriotic and community pride and celebrating the diversity of our community.
Volunteers will greet visitors, be available to answer questions at the information booth, hand out flyers and programs, and sell raffle tickets.
