Description: Youth volunteers learn media arts tools and post graphics, messages, art, and videos via GBYM's newsletter, website, and social media. Working in small groups, volunteers choose topics and people to interview.
Volunteer slots are between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Opportunity is in person only.

SSL opportunity (for Montgomery County SSL).
Available for youth volunteers from the DMV area.
Activity is for middle and high schoolers age 12 through 18.
Spanish, Mandarin, or Amharic language skills, ASL skills, and other language skills are welcomed but not required.
Knowledge of or interest in digital media software is helpful.
Interest in media arts and/or volunteering for the community are a must.
Health and Safety Precautions:
Masks and Social distancing are required. GBYM requires masks be at least double-layered. GBYM can provide additional surgical masks on a limited basis.
We provide surface cleansing wipes and hand sanitizer.
All staff working in the Studio are fully vaccinated.
GBYM's Media Arts Studio is located in a Montgomery County building where the air circulation and filtration is overseen by the County's maintenance staff. We built out the studio in 2019 and it is 3000 square feet of program space.
