SSL Counselors must be entering ninth or tenth grade and be interested in working with children in a summer camp setting. The first three weeks will be working in the classroom in the mornings and spending the afternoons in training. The second three weeks will be spent working in the classroom all day. SSL Counselors are supervised by a Community Service Coordinator and must be available to work for the entire session. This is an unpaid position. At the end of the session, counselors receive a certificate stating the number of community service hours completed.
