Get Outside!

Join our Green Corps team and become a core volunteer in our Neighborhood Engagement Department!  Volunteers with experience in landscaping and gardening are needed to help lead teams on Neighborhood Engagement projects. Tasks may include picking up litter, cutting down weeds, installing walkways, creating garden beds, and planting trees. Some light construction work also included.  Habitat’s decades of work illustrate that individuals and families thrive when they have a safe and stable home in a safe and stable community. Participating in neighborhood engagemnet work allows Habitat to fully embrace our mission – to build homes, communities and hope.

All work is outdoors, and most work is physically demanding. Volunteers should be willing and able to:

• Have knowledge and ability to preform general gardening chores including pruning, planting, weeding
• Stoop and bend
• Lift 50+ lbs. 
• Value and appreciate other volunteers
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
