Volunteer with high school students and other older adults to discuss graphic novels at the Intergenerational Graphic Novel Book Club at the Wheaton Public Library with Link Generations. Meetings are from 2-3pm Sundays. Dates: July 12 (Book: They Call us Enemy by George Takei), August 9 (Book: Hey Kiddo by Jarrett J. Krosoczka), September 13 (Book: Superman Smashes the Klan by Jean Luen Yang, October 4 (Book: Ghost Book by Remi Lai), and November 1 (Book: A First Time for Everything by Dan Santat). Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours in a public space under direct supervision of the nonprofit organization. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
