MCAEL (The Montgomery Coalition for Adult English Literacy) is seeking high school volunteers to assist at a special a laptop distribution event for adult learners in ESOL classes - on April 15, held in partnership with the Montgomery Connects program of the Office of Broadband Services.
At the event, people who come to pick up their new laptops will be offered assistance with how to get started with using them. The Bilingual Technology Assistants will help people unbox the new Chromebooks, get set up on them, and download Zoom for attending online classes.
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours. The nonprofit organization is responsible for maintaining student safety. Parents/guardians should contact the nonprofit directly with any questions and/or concerns.
