2024 Mental Health Awareness Week PSA Video Contest

Calling all MCPS middle and high school students!
Want to show off your video skills, build your resume, earn 5 SSL hours, AND potentially be published?
Create a creative 15 - 30 second Public Service Announcement (PSA) video for your peers. These informative videos must include:
3 key takeaway for students on any of the following topics: mental health tips, coping strategies, who in your school to get help, who in your school can help, hotlines
A call to action -- Encourage your peers to either attend the MHAW event, direct people to the MCPS Mental Health webpage, or share info with peers, etc.)
Student voiceovers or music
Visually pleasing Instagram Reel (Must be filmed in 1080x1920/9:16) or Instagram carousel deck (minimum of 5 slides)
Correct grammar, spelling, abbreviation
3 Key Steps
Step 1: Plan and create your reel or slides and ensure that your submission includes all of the required items above. Submission should be geared toward your middle and high school peers.
Step 2: Complete and attach the MCPS Consent and Release to this Google Form.
Step 3: Submit your video by Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11:59 pm via this Google Form.
Submissions that have included all of the required items will be reviewed for eligibility for the 5 SSL hours, and if they meet the criteria outlined, the SSL hours will be awarded by MCPS by mid-November.
