Earn SSL (Student Service Learning) hours by assisting seniors in using their smartphones. This is a great opportunity to earn some of those hours you need for graduation AND to give back to the community.
Many senior citizens just need an expert (no one is more of a smartphone expert than the average high school student) to sit with them and patiently guide them through how to use their phone. Most seniors will probably need help with texting, FaceTiming, downloading apps, using Social Media and using photos and videos.
If you like teaching others, working with senior citizens or just need to get a few SSL hours, register to volunteer with MCM here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/student-volunteer-ssl-opportunity-tickets-525965847007
Student participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must be completed outside of school hours.
