Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Every second Saturday in May the Postal Letter Carriers collect non perishable food to give to local food pantries.  This year, May 11th five local post offices donate their collection to MUM.  In years past this has brought in thousands of pounds of food.  MUM's job is to receive the food at the local post offices, process it for storage all in the space of less than twelve hours.  This requires many volunteers-both adults and students. It is a very satisfying feeling to be a part of something that involves so many and helps so many.  There is a sign-up for this opportunity by going to our website at mumhelp.org or calling 301-929-8675
